Interpersonal Honors Course

Class Discussion Assignment
75 points

Students will select a partner and lead the class in a discussion covering material from the textbook.  You will select a section to focus on from those listed below, presenting the highlights and main ideas of the text.  This should include your own examples as well as at least ONE OUTSIDE TEXT SOURCE* pertaining to the information.  You must then develop at least 5 open-ended questions in order to stimulate class discussion.  These may involve asking for personal or other examples, opinions, expanding ideas, etc.  Be creative in your approach, you may present the information in any manner, as long as you communicate the essentials of the material in such a way that the others in class can learn and interpret the information.  Possibilities include using sample movie or TV clips, music, popular culture, current news items, books, plays, occupations, assign homework the class period prior to presentation, etc. 

The presentation (including discussion) should last 20-30 minutes
